Some important recommendations

The visit to Calderón Hondo is a trekking route accessible to all, lasting about an hour and a half. It is necessary to bring water, soft drinks and suitable sunscreen .
Wear comfortable shoes , as, although the path is in good condition, the climb is along a cobbled path.
The trail culminates at a panoramic viewpoint near the volcano’s rim, where you can admire the majestic 278-meter-high crater and the fantastic surrounding badlands.
Pay close attention to children throughout the entire route, and it would be advisable to use the path on the right which is wider and better structured.
The one on the left offers a more beautiful landscape, but the path is also narrower and more difficult.
Always respect Fuerteventura’s nature and the environment. Do not leave any rubbish along the route and do not feed wild animals.
