Access to the beach is via a sandy path and is located just before the junction between Puertito de la Cruz and Cofete beach.

Generally the waters of the beach are quite calm, making them perfect for swimming, but also for snorkeling.

As is the case with most beaches in southern Fuerteventura, Baia Gómez is not equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets and there is no kiosk on the beach .

There are no lifeguards here and you must always pay particular attention when bathing as coastal phenomena are often unpredictable.

There’s nothing nearby, so it’s essential to bring everything you need if you want to spend a day enjoying the sea, sun, and relaxation.

How to get to Juan Gómez Bay

To reach Baía Juan Gómez from Puerto del Rosario, the capital of Fuerteventura , you can rent a car, preferably an off-road vehicle.

The journey from Puerto del Rosario, approximately 104 km, takes 1 hour and 47 minutes, following the FV – 2, or from Morro Jable , 14 km, approximately 30 minutes.

Once you reach Contrada Punta de Jandia, a dirty path of about 12 km begins from here.

The main FV-2 road passes through the town of Morro del Jable and continues towards Punta de Jandía until reaching the turnoff for Cofete beach.

You must drive with caution, as it is a dirt road of about 12 km.

It is essential to check your car rental insurance, as not all companies allow driving on dirt roads and do not cover damage to the vehicle.
