La Pared beach is located in the municipality of Pàjara , about 7 km from Costa Calma in the southern part of the island of Fuerteventura .
This enchanting beach takes its name from the wall that once divided the two kingdoms of the island, Maxorata and Jandia.
It is not the classic beach to go to relax, sunbathe or cuddle in the water, as it is not particularly suitable for swimming.
Thanks to the strong winds and the impressive waves, Playa de la Pared is the ideal place to practice surfing and enjoy the immense beauty of the ocean.
But this beach with postcard views is also perfect for those who want to discover the wildest side of the island, immersed in uncontaminated nature.
La Pared beach is undoubtedly a tourist stop that cannot be missed, ideal for spending an unforgettable holiday in the Canary Islands .
From above the view is truly surreal, a fascinating cliff to enjoy the splendid landscape and admire one of the most beautiful sunsets at Fuerteventura.
Beach features
Playa de la Pared is one of the most beautiful beaches in the south of Fuerteventura , where unspoiled and wild nature reigns supreme.
The dramatic cliffs of this beach create a unique backdrop to the soft, golden sand of the beach, which embraces the hues of the ocean.
Here the trade winds are quite strong and the strength of the waves makes it the perfect destination for water sports lovers, professional surfers.
It is not a suitable beach for families with children and maximum caution is recommended when bathing.
However, Playa de la Pared is the most fascinating cliff in Fuerteventura , a magical place where you can admire the enchantment of the ocean.
Like almost all the beaches of Fuerteventura , wild but unique, La Pared is not an equipped beach of Fuerteventura with sunbeds, umbrellas and toilets.
Anyone wishing to visit this beach must bring everything they need, as there are no services of any kind nearby.
The charm of La Pared beach
To reach Playa de la Pared , you have to take the western diversion from Costa Calma, following a strip of land, the narrowest on the island.
Crossing it seems like being on another planet, the contrast is surprising, between volcanic mountains and a jagged coast, designed by the impetuous waves of the ocean.
Getting to this beach is a bit challenging, as there is a stretch of dirty road, but once you get there, the view that opens up is worth it.
The geological spectacle that you witness thanks to the tides and the shades of colors is incredibly fascinating and hypnotic.
In fact, at low tide you can climb onto the cliff, admire the natural pools between the rocks and enjoy the landscape as the sun cradles itself on the ocean.
Nearby is the fascinating Viejos Reyes cave, as well as other caves, the most beautiful on the island of Fuerteventura.
Or the Jandía Natural Park , an essential place for nature lovers with a great variety of animal and plant species typical of the islands.

How to get to La Pared beach
To get to La Pared beach from Puerto del Rosario it’s so easy and convenient by taxi or a rental car.
This beach is about 65 km from the capital of Fuerteventura, a distance that can be covered in 60 minutes and jus 7 minutes of Costa Calma.
The road to get there is in excellent condition following FV – 2 towards Morro Jable, until reaching the municipality of Tuineje.
Then continue on FV – 56 and FV 605 towards Playa de La Pared.
