Playa Chica at Fuerteventura

Playa Chica one of the Caribbean beaches of Fuerteventura, which is also called Playa de Los Pozos , is located in the heart of the island.

Playa Chica beach is located 1 km from the centre of Puerto del Rosario , the pedestrian area called “Paseo de los Demócratas” and the port where cruise ships arrive .

This walk has wooden platforms that allow it to be used as a solarium or as a grandstand with direct views of Playa de los Pozos .

Playa Chica is a small urban beach, Blue Flag with white sand and crystal clear turquoise water covered with small shells.

At the end of March 2013, a tropical whale skeleton was installed, which is a reconstruction of the skeleton of a whale specimen using the original bones.

The skeleton bones belonged to a tropical fin whale, nine meters long, which was found dead in the waters of Fuerteventura in August 2006.
