Solapa beach is one of the most beautiful, wild and paradisiacal beaches on the west coast of the island of Fuerteventura, in the municipality of Pájara.

This solitary beach, frequented only by locals, extends for more than 400 m with golden sand in some parts and black sand with small stones in others.

Here the trade winds blow constantly you have to take maximum precautions and be very careful when bathing in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the ocean.

Playa de la Solapa is the favorite place to explore the sea caves of Fuerteventura, places that you will carry in your heart and mind forever.

There are many smaller sea caves along the coast, the largest one is right next to the beach, only about 20-30 meters further on, perfectly round, huge and deep.

The magic of the postcard sunsets that this very suggestive beach offers are unforgettable and you can play with the reflections of the light to take impressive photos.

Features and services available at Solapa Beach

Solapa beach is never crowded, making it ideal for those who want to practice nudism or simply spend a quiet and relaxing day.

The ocean on the west coast tends to be quite wild at times, so even low tides can be dangerous.

On this beach of Fuertefentura the currents, which are usually very strong, as well as the presence of rocks, make bathing more difficult in some periods of the year.

It depends a lot on the season and the winds, even with average waves, it is often difficult to even walk on the sand while the waves crash against the rocks.

The beach, like almost all those located in the municipality of Pájara, is not equipped with any services such as sunbeds, umbrellas and lifeguards.

At Playa de la Solapa there are no hotels, bars, restaurants or shops, so it is advisable to bring everything you need for a day of nature only.

A beach with extraordinary plays of light

The cliffs offer shaded areas, while at low tide the massive rocks are revealed, forming beautiful coves with crystal clear waters.

Stay until sunset to witness a magnificent, rare and unforgettable natural spectacle that only Fuerteventura can offer.

As the colors change from red to orange and then to yellow, they envelop the beach and reflect on the rocks, creating extraordinary plays of light.

Some scenes from the Eternals series were filmed on this beach.

Playa La Solapa is pristine and secluded, so be sure to bring all the essentials: towel, sunscreen, picnic lunch, drinks and water.

This pristine beach is the perfect place to unplug and forget about the world, enjoying the sun and sea of Fuerteventura.

Care must be taken when bathing, as the entire west coast is characterized by strong currents.
