The climate is mild and sunny all year round and the average rainfall is 147 mm per year.

During the summer the average temperature is 28-30 degrees maximum and 20 degrees minimum and in winter 22 degrees maximum and 15 degrees minimum.

Sometimes very hot winds blow from the Sahara, raising temperatures by 10 – 15 degrees and bringing about the Calima phenomen .

How to get around Fuerteventura?

There are 3 ways to discover the island of Fuerteventura and move from one area to another.

• By bus

In Fuerteventura there is a line of urban and extra-urban buses , and around the towns there are bus stop platforms (very often covered).

However, choosing public transport doesn’t give you the freedom to discover Fuerteventura’s many hidden beaches or the picturesque inland locations.

• By taxi , which could be a bit expensive to use as a means of transportation for the entire holiday.
•  Renting a car would be the best choice to visit the island in complete tranquility and freedom.

A travel itinerary for Fuerteventura?

Once you land in Puerto del Rosario , the capital of Fuerteventura, it is worth stopping and visiting it, discovering its unique beauties:

• Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario
• The Unamuno House Museum (which was the writer’s place of exile)
• The open-air museum, with its sculptures all along the seafront

And after this quick visit you can relax on its splendid beaches of Playa Blanca and Playa Chica , Caribbean beaches of white sand and emerald green sea.

Continue to the north of Fuerteventura , to explore its most famous resort, Corralejo .

This is Morro Jable , the southernmost town on the island of Fuerteventura, with little wind and temperatures slightly higher than other towns (by 2 degrees).

A highly sought-after destination for tourists that offers countless unmissable attractions:

• The Jandia Lighthouse , located on a wide white sandy beach, where on its right and left sides it is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas.
• The Port of Morro Jable , the most famous on the island of Fuerteventura.
• Jandia Natural Park

A stroll along the seafront at sunset is a must, as you can enjoy a magical and unforgettable view.

Going north, not far from Morro Jable, we find the wonderful Costa Calma , a true pearl of Fuerteventura:

You can’t help but stop by its splendid Caribbean-like white beaches, crystal-clear, emerald green and turquoise sea.

Continuing north we stop for a moment at Gran Tarajal

But what to see in Gran Tarajal?

And then we stop in Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste is a well-equipped tourist resort, with crystal-clear turquoise sea and white and golden sand.

The entire tourist area develops around a bay that protects the beach from waves and wind.

And then we head to Puerto del Rosario, where our journey of exploring and experiencing the splendid, magical and unique island of Fuerteventura ends.

But we can’t think of doing all this in a few days, as we will never be able to enjoy the spectacle that the island offers you.
